Last week SLAM ortho was in Dublin and in Oxford as part of the EIT Health Bootcamp tour, where there was ample opportunity to pitch. A great time was had, with a lot of interesting talks and workshops!
SLAM ortho has opened its office in the building of YES!Delft, one of the leading start-up incubators in the world. This new location offers great opportunities for the company to grow.
After the two month programme of the EIT Health Validation Lab the grand final was a pitch event where every start-up battled to deliver the best and most convincing pitch. SLAM ortho was one of the runner-up winners of this event where our business idea was pitched in front of a jury of experts!
SLAM Ortho has been selected to participate in the EIT Health Validation Lab, hosted by YES!Delft. We will spend two months there validating our business assumptions, making use of the network of EIT and YES!Delft.
The patent SLAM Ortho has applied for has been granted. Our invention is thus protected and we can move on in our process to bring our solution to market.
SLAM Ortho has now successfully tested the prototypes using our technology on human tissues in multiple cases. These results are extremely promising as the current performance is already comparable to the golden standard.
SLAM Ortho’s mission is to increase the efficiency and efficacy of trauma surgery. Our primary innovation is a drill bit that automatically measures the required screw length in osteosynthesis surgery.
Lower number of X-rays. Less screw replacements. Lower surgery time, less infections.
